Our Team
Paul Eden
Our Founder Paul Eden - most famously known as Mr. President of the Nissan EV Owners U.K. club - is also a lifelong car enthusiast with an incredible background of racing, writing and driving enormous vehicles.
As you can imagine, Paul has a passion for Nissan’s often regaling tales of his trusty Nissan LEAF, or fawning over the excellent new Nissan Micra, or drooling at that glorious new LEAF on the horizon.
Did you know that he also went to China?!
Founder-in-Chief
eV Newt
Mr. Number 2Prolific EV enthusiast and car dealer, eV Newt, master poster on the CtrlAltRefuel X channel and maintains a menagerie of interesting - and small - cars at Palace de Newt.
Yes, Newt loves all things small when it comes to personal transportation, often advocating the virtues of his Citroen Ami, or FIAT 500e, but also owns a KIA eV6 for those ‘big boy’ jobs.
Graeme Cobb
Graeme ‘Newbie’ Cobb joined the team as a staff writer with a keen eye on reporting news, and with an urge to forge his way into the world of “very amateur” automotive journalism.
His lifelong passion has been cars from a very young age, astonishing his Mum with his knowledge of the all-new Ford Fiesta mk1 - aged just four - when it launched in the 1970’s.
With a classic Jaaag in the garage, his love of EVs started a decade ago with the fabulous BMW i3, but now owns a ridiculously efficient Tesla Model 3 (cash at the ready for the Tesla swear jar).

Hannah
Co-Nissan Expert and Pop-Up Team MemberTo keep us blokes in check, occasional contributor Hannah and her glorious Nissan Ariya Nismo joins us from Leeds to chat all things Nissan - and more - on the CAR YouTube channel.
Hannah’s husband Shaun has recently taken a special delivery, adding the all-new LEAF and making them a two Nissan family (plus two humans).
Thomas Dobie
Team Member Quattro - Chief Car ReviewerBetter known as Cars of Glasgow on the YouTube’s, our Northern Correspondent Thomas reviews cars for CtrlAltRefuel as the most qualified car enthusiast in the world!
With a Masters in Engineering, Thomas is also a well-seasoned car reviewer with his own channel, and website and is a self-confessed petrolhead, albeit happy to drive EVs, too.
